QU20040 First Design Open Knuckle V-Seal Spindle Seal for Dana 30, 44

QU20040 First Design Dana 30, Dana 44 Open Knuckle V-Seal Spindle Seal fits many 1972.5 Chevy/GMC, 1973-1976 Ford Bronco/F150, 1973-1976 Jeep 4×4’s that originally came with the 2″ ID Rubber V-Seal. We searched for almost 20 years before we finally uncovered a small stock of these extremely rare seals which were discontinued by Dana over 30 years ago. Folks, these are are not cheap, but if your vintage truck originally had these seals, then this is the part you need to protect your Spindle Bearings from grit and moisture. Sold individually, but requires 2 per vehicle. Made in Sweden.

Tech Note 2: GM Parts Books
The only listing in our GM parts books for this seal is 1972.5 Blazer/Jimmy/K10/K1500 with second design spindles.

Tech Note 3: Ford Parts Books
Ford parts books list this seal for 1973-1976 Bronco and 1/2 ton, however, I can only remember a few Fords that used it, and I believe one was a late 1972 F100.

Tech Note 4: Jeep Parts Books
Jeep parts books catalog this seal from 1974 to 1979 J-Series. I can remember a few Jeep Spindle Kits for 1974 to 1976 drum brake Cherokees that came with QU20040 Seal but nothing else. I do not believe any 1977 or newer Jeep ever had this seal from the factory and few if any 1974 to 1976 have it, but there may be a small number of early production open knuckle Jeeps that have them.
