These Kits are perfect to refresh an aging but still basically sound transfer case that is starting to show a little bearing and seal wear. Our Basic Bearing and Seal Kits include all the original equipment quality Input/Output Shaft Bearings and Seals needed for the Ford New Process/New Venture NV271F Transfer Case but no shift shaft seals/bearings, O-Rings, or other Small Parts. Ball Bearings Made in Japan, Seals and other Bearings Made in U.S.A. or Mexico.

Tech Note 2: Gasket
TKA2139 does not include a transmission to transfer case gasket. Ford did not use a gasket between the transmission and transfer case on 2008-2010 Super Duty® trucks because the space between the two units is dry unless there is a seal failure. If you wish to use a gasket on your 2008-2010 truck you can order TK20255 gasket as an optional part.

Tech Note 4: New Venture/New Process/Magna
When Ford (1999 models) and Dodge (2003 models) first used NV271 and NV273 transfer cases, New Process Gear (NPG) of East Syracuse N.Y was part of New Venture Gear (NVG). When NVG dissolved, NPG continued on under Chyrsler. Chyrsler subsequently sold the production rights to Magna, a Canadian automotive parts company. All these name changes are confusing, but the important thing to know is a specific assembly number for any 271F, 271D, 273D, and 273F transfer case is the same and uses the same replacement parts regardless if it was built by New Venture, New Process, or Magna.
