TK4951 Torque King® Master Front Free-Spin Hub Kit with DynaLoc Heavy-Duty Lockout Hubs with Axle U-Joints and Install Tools for 2009 Dodge Ram 2500, Ram 3500 trucks with single rear wheels. TK4951 includes all the parts, special assembly tools, and extras needed to upgrade your heavy-duty Ram 4×4’s front axle to low-cost serviceable wheel bearings DynaLoc Heavy-Duty fuel-saving lockout hubs. The heart of all these comprehensive Kits are USA made Dynatrac Front Free-Spin™ Hub Kit which includes heat-treated chromoly spindles with spindle bearing, spindle seals, Timken® wheel bearings, Timken® or Dana wheel seals, 35-spline 1.50-inch chromoly outer shafts, 8 bolt wheel hubs, your choice of Hub Locks, double spindle nut kit, and instructions. PLUS, our comprehensive Master Kits ALSO include Spindle Nut Socket, Torque King® Factory Lubed Axle U-Joints, wheel seal tools, bearing packer, synthetic wheel bearing grease, threadlocker, and anti-seize compound. The Dynatrac Wheel Hubs include hub mounted ABS tone rings and are compatible with your 4 Wheel ABS (Anti-Lock Brake System). TK4951 direct fits single rear wheel trucks. Tech Note 3: U-Joints Preinstalled
The Axle U-Joints included in TK4951 will be preinstalled in your new outer axle shafts. These u-joints are special Torque King® conversion u-joints that fit the Dynatrac outer axle shafts (Spicer 1480 series yokes) and your original AAM 1485 series inner axle shafts. Our direct-fit U-joints eliminate the need to use snap ring spacers supplied in the Dynatrac Free-Spin™ Kit.

Tech Note 4: Ram 3500 Dually
If you have a Dodge Ram 3500 dually, your factory dual wheel hub adapters will have to be changed as they have insufficient clearance for the new lockout hubs included in our Kits. Order optional QU42072 Dual Wheel Adapter Set.

Tech Note 5: To Install
TK4951 includes the axle universal joints and parts needed to upgrade your Dodge to serviceable wheel bearings and lockout hubs. To install this Kit, you need to remove the original hubs and axle shafts. Depending upon age, mileage, and use, your truck may also need inner axle shaft oil seals, ball joints, brake parts, or pinion seal. Inspect the axle before disassembly for worn or damaged parts and order those extra parts/tools you desire for a first class job.

Tech Note 8: Seal Kit
Given the era of trucks this Kit fits, it is recommended you replace the inner axle seals which can become hard and brittle with age. For Inner Axle Shaft Seal Kits with oil seals and installation tools see QK4685.

Tech Note 9: Before Removing
The first time a 2009 Ram 2500, Ram 3500 AAM 9-1/4″ front axle has to come apart, it is usually an absolute WITCH to separate the factory wheel hub assemblies from the steering knuckle as AAM did not use any anti-corrosion compound between the wheel hub flange and steering knuckle. The good news is since you are replacing the original hubs, you do not have to worry about them separating or getting damaged during the removal process.

Tech Note 10: Kit Component Differences
The only component difference between TK4943, TK4951, and TK4958 Kits is the lock out hubs. TK4943 includes TK56120 Warn Premium Hubs. TK4951 includes TK11258 heavy-duty Dynaloc™ Hubs. TK4958 comes with QU56112 Mile Marker Stainless Steel Hubs.
