Ring Gear Bolts are designed for a single use. They must be replaced after they are removed!
Tech Note 2: Threadlocker
Apply medium strength S9978 or S24200 Threadlocker to the Bolt threads.
Tech Note 3: GM-AAM
In 1994, General Motors sold it’s axle division to a group of investors who renamed their new acquisition American Axle Manufacturing (AAM). The AAM 14 Bolt, 10-1/2″ Ring Gear full floater rear axle is what used to be called the Chevy or GM corporate 14 Bolt, 10-1/2″ Ring Gear full float rear axle.
