QU40244 Inner Axle Shaft Oil Seal with Slinger For Ford and Chevy/GMC 4x4s. This is an original equipment type Oil Bath Type Inner Axle Shaft Oil Seal that is specific to 1999-2010 Ford Super Duty, 2000-2005 Ford Excursion, and 2005-2009 Chevy or GMC C4500, C55004x4s, but it also will fit 2011 and newer Ford Super Duty Dana Super 60 Front Axles as a replacement for QU20463 Seal without Slinger. QU40244 fits all 1999 and newer Ford F-series trucks and Excursions with Dana-Spicer Model 50 and Model 60 solid front drive axles. Your Inner Axle Shaft Seals are located in the differential housing just outboard of the differential bearings. Imported. Order 2 seals per vehicle.

Tech Note 1: Axle Tubes Leaking Oil?
If you are leaking oil out the end of your axle tubes, these are the seals that need to be replaced.

Tech Note 2: Must Remove
Your brakes, wheel hubs, axle shafts, and differential must be removed from the housing to replace these seals. Refer to these 4×4 Tech Publications for service procedures for 1999-2004 Super Duty and 2000-2005 Excursion: TSB4643, TM4637, and TM4688.
