QU40228 Spindle Bearing and Seal Kit for Dana 30, Dana 44, Dana 44IFS, and GM 10 Bolt Open Knuckle Front Axles includes genuine original equipment spindle bearing, spindle seals, and axle shaft thrust washer to service ONE Spindle. QU40228 fits most Mid 1970’s to 1993 SUV, 1/2, and standard 3/4 ton Model 30, 44, 44IFS, and GM 10 bolt open knuckle front axles. Bearing and thrust washer Made in U.S.A., seals imported.

Tech Note 1: Matching Slinger
The matching Axle Shaft Slinger is QU40058.

Tech Note 2: Kit Includes
QU40228 includes one each of these genuine original equipment component parts:
QK4734.5 Spindle Bearing
QU40056 Small V-Seal
QU40070 Axle Shaft Thrust Washer
QU40071 Large V-Seal

Tech Note 3: Spindle Bearing
For all applications that use this Kit, QK4734.5 Spindle Bearing will be installed so QU40056 Small V-Seal will be even with or slightly below the face of the spindle when installed after the bearing.

Tech Note 4: Thrust Washer
Install QU40070 Thrust Washer with the chamfered side against the axle shaft face (flat side towards the Spindle). Install QU40071 V-Seal on QU40058 Axle Shaft Slinger with the flexible lip towards the Spindle. Install QU40056 V-Seal with the flat face towards the Spindle Bearing. Lubricate the parts with QU90018 Pyroplex Plus® synthetic NLGI #2 grease or other suitable water resistant grease.
