Tech Note 1: Install
QU30117 gets installed over the spindle next to but outboard of QU30118 Nut and QU30123 Key. The inside diameter tab must be engaged in the spindle key slot.

Tech Note 2: Reusable?
QU30117 Hub Adjuster Nut Retaining Ring is reusable IF it is in good condition. Replace any Ring that is stretched, bent or otherwise damaged!
